Supervision/ Consultation

Dr. Bekman offers reflective supervision and consultation for professionals working with infants, young children, and their families. Her approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and a deep respect for the complexities of this work. She strives to create a safe and supportive space where providers can explore their clinical experiences, deepen self-awareness, and cultivate professional growth.  IECMH work can stir up intense emotions and RS/C is essential to mitigate burnout, promote compassion satisfaction and ensure high quality clinical care.

Areas of Specialization

  • As an infant and early childhood mental health clinical mentor, Dr. Bekman provides reflective supervision/consultation (RS/C) for clinicians whose work centers perinatal, infant and early childhood mental health with a dyadic focus. She supports clinicians to explore the emotional content of this work and enrich their understanding of clinical dynamics. Dr. Bekman works with many clinicians who are pursuing the Infant or Early Childhood Mental Health Endorsement®. She offers guidance and support throughout the endorsement process, including portfolio development, and her reflective consultation counts towards the RS/C endorsement requirement.

  • As an endorsed CPP state trainer and rostered CPP therapist and supervisor, Dr. Bekman offers reflective CPP supervision/consultation for clinicians implementing CPP in their practice. She provides guidance on assessment, case conceptualization, treatment configuration, ports of entry/intervention strategies, and overall fidelity  to the CPP model. As a psychologist who has worked in community mental health for over 14 years, Dr. Bekman is well versed in the intersection of CPP and child welfare involvement. 

Dr. Bekman prioritizes creating a safe and trusting relationship with supervisees. Her supervision style is:

Reflective supervision/consultation is available in-person in Denver, Colorado or virtually across the United States.

Dr. Bekman’s fee is  $200 per 50-minute session. Small group RS/C may also be available pending interest.
